These elements collectively support the advancement of lifelong learning and civic responsibility. Purpose of Establishing the Al-Khayrat Al-Warith Team To harness and redirect youth potential toward meaningful societal service. To promote and normalise a culture of altruism within the broader community. To contribute to the formation of a productive, socially responsible university generation. To actively work toward the reduction of economic hardship among vulnerable groups. To strengthen the values of compassion and solidarity in the social fabric. To empower students with the tools to take on active roles in driving societal development and cohesion. Supporting Entities The team is an entirely independent, student-led initiative supported morally and financially by the university alone. Financial resources are sourced from donors both within and outside the university. The team maintains full autonomy and refrains from engagement with any external institutions or organisations, regardless of their affiliations. This model ensures the team remains rooted in principles of transparency, accountability, and community ownership. Achievements to Date The Al-Khayrat Al-Warith team has successfully completed a wide range of initiatives that promote well-being, social equity, and communal solidarity: Regular outreach visits to elderly care facilities. Regular visits to oncology hospitals. Provision of essential supplies — including nutrition, clothing, and hygiene items — to the elderly in orphan care homes. Gift donations to children undergoing cancer treatment, aiming to enhance their psychosocial well-being. Renovation and construction of homes for low-income and underprivileged families. Provision of home furnishings for families facing financial hardship. Distribution of food baskets to impoverished and marginalised households. Launch of an initiative to collect surplus, hygienic food from restaurants and redistribute it to those in need, supporting both food security and waste reduction. Organisation of awareness campaigns within the university and participation in religious and cultural events. Coordination of periodic donation drives, both on and off campus. Future Vision of the Team To foster a society where giving becomes an ingrained social value. To broaden the concept of giving into a national student initiative encompassing all university communities. To advance social solidarity as a fundamental mechanism for alleviating poverty and social inequality. To enhance collective awareness and civic engagement across academic institutions. To encourage contributions of time, effort, and talent in service of others, reinforcing sustainable development at the grassroots level. Internal Vision for Team Development To develop and refine the professional and administrative capacities of team members in preparation for post-graduate life. To cultivate exemplary conduct among members, encouraging them to become role models in terms of ethical, humanitarian, and spiritual commitment both within the university and in the broader community.
