Student Muhammad Ali Kazem from the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), fifth stage, made an astounding scientific correctness discovery when he found false information in the most recent fifteenth edition of the book "Macleod Clinical Examination."
The student found the error on page 109, Table 6.3, where the author indicated that sitting upright helps comfort a patient with acute pancreatitis, while the best position is to bend forward.
After thorough investigation and confirmation from several sources—including Bailey and Loves, an approved source on surgery—the error was confirmed. The issue was identified and will be fixed in the upcoming version of the book, emphasising the contribution of academic research and student involvement in expanding the accuracy and scope of medical knowledge, following correspondence with the printing house and the author.

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) announced the opening of the first competition for students in the College of Civil Engineering to design bridges, valued at one million dinars, as part of its mission to foster creativity and creative abilities among its students. The purpose of this competition is to assess students' skills in designing bridges that can support varying loads proportionate to the bridge's weight and to inspire them to achieve in the field of structural design.
The designs that were submitted were assessed by a scientific committee that the deanship constituted. The winners of the competition will be revealed according to how well the designs can endure the relevant loads.
The winners will be awarded accordingly:
One million dinars will be awarded as a prize to the first winner.
A prize of 500,000 dinars will be awarded to the second winner.
A prize of 250,000 dinars will be awarded to the third winner.
In an effort to motivate and assist students in realising their creative potential in science and technology.
A series of seminars and hands-on experiments were organised by the first stage of the Department of Medical Physics students in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Waqed Al-Mousawi, and the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Shaima Hussein Nowfal.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stated that Iraq ranked first in the Arab world and seventh globally in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, an accomplishment that speaks to the calibre of university education in the country. The number of Iraqi universities that competed in the 2024 edition of the ranking—which included 2,152 academic institutions from 125 different countries—was the basis for this accolade.

"Al-Warith Third Engineering Exhibition for Graduation Projects and Scientific Outcomes" was organised by the Deanship of the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) and was attended by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Nowfal Al-Araji, the Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Waqid Al-Mousawi, and several college deans. The exhibition seeks to showcase the skills of the students and their aptitude for creating applied science projects that mimic the demands of the job market.
Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Hadi Al-Awadi, the dean of the College of Engineering, said that the exhibition encourages students and graduates to compete with one another and supports the investment of potential energies. He emphasised that the projects had already been assessed by special scientific committees that had commended them for their excellence and that, with enough care, attention, and development, they might even become patents.
Under the direction of the deans of the faculties of medicine and nursing, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) organised a training workshop for students from the two colleges in collaboration with the Medical Operations Centre in the Iraqi Ministry of Health and the Mass Medicine Centre.
The workshop aimed to develop work skills in emergency centres and crowd medicine, treating accidents during the visits of millions [such as Al-Arbaeen], in addition to managing mass casualties and taking patients’ vital signs.

2024/06/23Dr. Sabah Al-Jubouri, a lecturer at the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), issued a new book entitled “The Role of Judiciary in Achieving Transitional Justice.” In the book, which was released by the Academic Publishing Centre in Egypt, Al-Jubouri examines how the court helps transitional justice processes in societies that are going through change.

Congratulations on the marriage of the Two Illuminating Lights, Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, to the Lady of all Ladies of the Worlds, Fatima Al-Zahra (PBUT).
The Department of Medical Physics at the College of Science organised a charity bazaar within the university's corridors, with the participation of Dr. Haider Al-Ghanmi, Head of the Information Technology Department, and Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Shaima Hussein Nowfal.
Students from a variety of disciplines participated in the bazaar, showcasing their skills in handicrafts, illustration, and décor.
A group from the Deanship of the College of Islamic Sciences at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, comprising Dr. Nour Al-Saadi, Dr. Ali Ahmed Nasser, and Assistant Professor Dr. Talal Faiq Al-Kamali, the College's Dean, paid a visit to the "House of Wisdom" headquarters in Baghdad. A member of the House of Wisdom's Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Abdel-Baqi Al-Khazraji, received them.
The House of Wisdom is one of the organisations supporting the "Fifth International Islam Life Conference," which is being planned, and this visit is a part of it. Enhancing academic and scientific collaboration between the two sides was another goal of the visit.
The College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa witnessed final discussions for the graduation projects of students from the Departments of Civil Engineering and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Engineering.
