The College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) organized a scientific field trip for Civil Engineering students to Al-Hindiya Barrage Project, one of Iraq's major strategic infrastructure projects. The visit aimed to expand students’ horizons by linking the theoretical concepts learned in classrooms with practical, real-world applications.
During the visit, students explored the history of the barrage, its construction mechanisms, water capacity, and the electricity generated by the facility. They also gained an understanding of the operation of the barrage gates.
The visit targeted third- and fourth-year Civil Engineering students, focusing on enhancing their practical skills and providing direct field experience. It offered a valuable opportunity for students to interact with project specialists, contributing to their knowledge development and sharpening their professional skills as they prepare for future careers in civil engineering.
