College of Islamic Sciences Holds Scientific Workshop on the Importance of Heritage and Documenting Historical and Religious Sites

The College of Islamic Sciences held a scientific workshop titled “The Importance of Heritage and Documenting Historical and Religious Sites” in the College Council Hall, presented by Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Hadi Al-Amiri, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and staff.

The workshop addressed the importance of preserving cultural and religious heritage, the role of documentation in safeguarding historical landmarks from extinction, and highlighted the civilizational values these sites represent in terms of national, human, and Islamic identity.

The session featured fruitful discussions, during which Dr. Al-Amiri emphasized the need to activate academic and community efforts to protect and scientifically document Iraq’s heritage, thereby contributing to the preservation of historical memory for future generations.
