The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) Participates in the International Al-Noor University Quranic Competition
The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) participated in the International Al-Noor University Quranic Competition, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of 53 Iraqi universities and 6 international universities from various countries around the world. The competition was hosted by Al-Ameed University.
The college was represented by the reciter, student Jaafar Ismail, who delivered a distinguished Quranic recitation that impressed both the judging committee and the audience, reflecting the high academic and spiritual standards of the college and its students.
This participation comes as part of the College of Islamic Sciences’ commitment to promoting Quranic culture, nurturing student talents, and encouraging creative participation in academic and spiritual competitions locally and internationally.

Collaboration Between the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) and the Central Library of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH)
As part of the ongoing collaboration between the College of Islamic Sciences and the Central Library of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), the College Library, under the patronage of the Honorable Dean, hosted the second meeting between the participating parties to discuss mechanisms for implementing the terms of cooperation between the College and the Central Library of the Holy Shrine.
The meeting addressed the role of technical and technological support provided by the Computer Center and the Quality Assurance Department in activating this cooperation, as well as defining practical procedures for exchanging resources and information between the libraries involved. The participants reviewed the key points previously agreed upon, and the College Library representative presented a brief overview of the current needs in developing the library’s database and the Central Library’s digital infrastructure, particularly in the areas of digitization and electronic archiving, in addition to facilitating research resource access for university scholars within the framework of joint cooperation.
The attendees also discussed the role of the Computer Center in providing the necessary infrastructure to link the College Library’s electronic system with those of the University and the Holy Shrine libraries, ensuring smooth and efficient information and resource exchange.
Finally, the representative of the Quality Assurance Department emphasized the importance of establishing clear performance indicators to measure the quality of library services following the activation of this partnership, ensuring its sustainability and effectiveness.

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) has achieved a remarkable milestone by earning second place in the Distinguished Universities Category at the Iraqi Science Day Awards 2025, in recognition of its outstanding efforts in advancing education, scientific research, and community service.
The award ceremony took place during the Iraq Education Conference 2025, inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, with the participation of international academic institutions, including Times Higher Education (THE), Clarivate, Elsevier, and QS.
The award was received by Prof. Dr. Noor Mahdi Al-Saadi, Assistant Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, as a testament to the advanced position achieved by the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) on its path toward national leadership and regional and global influence.

 
In preparation for the new academic year, the College of Administration and Economics Deanery organized an extensive meeting with the faculty members. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Awad Al-Khalidi, the Assistant Dean, and the Heads of the Scientific Departments.
The meeting commenced with a welcoming speech by the Dean, in which he expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the professors in supporting the educational process. He affirmed the Deanery's commitment to providing a stimulating academic environment and promoting constructive communication between the teaching and administrative staff.
The meeting addressed several key areas, most importantly: the logistical and organizational preparations for the start of the academic year, mechanisms for developing teaching performance and ensuring academic quality, as well as emphasizing the importance of adherence to ministerial and university regulations and instructions.

As part of enhancing academic cooperation and exchange of expertise between academic institutions, a delegation from the College of Administration and Economics at Warith al-Anbiya University, headed by Professor Awad al-Khalidi, visited the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala to discuss prospects for academic and research cooperation between the two sides.
The delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Salam al-Asadi, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, and a number of faculty members. During the meeting, they discussed ways of joint coordination in the areas of curriculum development, organizing scientific activities, and exchanging expertise among faculty members.
Professor Awad al-Khalidi emphasized the importance of building effective partnerships between specialized colleges, which would contribute to improving academic performance and expanding the scope of cooperation between Iraqi universities. He noted the College of Administration and Economics' readiness to support scientific initiatives that enhance integration between disciplines.
For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Salam al-Asadi welcomed the visit, appreciating Warith al-Anbiya University's commitment to building bridges of cooperation. He emphasized that openness to reputable academic institutions constitutes a fundamental pillar in developing university education and achieving the college's strategic objectives.

The delegation was received by Professor Fadhel Mohammed Zahir, Dean of the Polytechnic College, and a number of faculty and administrative staff members. During the meeting, they exchanged words of welcome and congratulations, emphasizing the importance of this step in supporting the educational process and developing academic and applied programs in Iraq.
Professor Awad Al-Khalidi expressed his pride in this institutional achievement, praising the efforts made by the Polytechnic College administration to achieve this qualitative transformation. Professor Ali Abdul-Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya, participated in chairing the discussion committee for a master's thesis at the College of Medicine, University of Basra, for researcher Zainab Abdul-Majid Awan. The thesis was titled: "Patient satisfaction with quality of health care services in public hospitals in Basrah city." The discussion took place in the Graduate Studies Hall of the College of Medicine, University of Basra, where the committee consisted of a select group of professors from Iraqi universities. This attendance comes within the framework of scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and to promote the mission of science, knowledge, and community service.

Chaired by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun, Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University, the discussion of the postgraduate diploma thesis, equivalent to a master's degree, was held at the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala. The thesis, titled "Evaluation of Emotional Difficulties among Women Having Had a Miscarriage in Karbala 2024," was held at the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala. The Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University announced the success of a specialized team of cardiac surgeons who performed advanced open heart surgeries using a minimally invasive lateral thoracotomy technique, without the need to open the sternum.  This procedure was performed by a medical team led by Dr. Jabbar Jassim Al-Tai, a faculty member of the college.  Dr. Al-Tai, a consultant in open heart surgery, explained that these surgeries are considered among the most advanced procedures worldwide, having been pioneered in Europe, and represent a significant advancement in cardiac surgery, offering high precision and excellent results for patients.

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University  Launches New Academic Departments – The First of Their Kind in Iraq
Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) has announced the establishment of five new academic departments, considered the first of their kind in Iraq, after obtaining official approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The University Presidency stated that this step comes in implementation of the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with scientific progress and enhancing the academic reality to meet the needs of the labor market.

A student from the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University successfully completed a one-month medical internship at the Serbian Clinical Center University in Belgrade, Serbia, as part of the International Exchange Program of the Iraqi Medical Students Association (IFMSA).The internship included working in an advanced European medical environment and learning about the healthcare systems there, with a focus on cardiology. The internship also included attending and observing operating rooms and interacting with students and physicians from around the world, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with foreign expertise and broaden medical and cultural horizons.The Deanship of the College of Medicine expresses its pride in the achievements of its students and is committed to supporting them in their academic and professional journeys toward excellence and community service.
